The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Stone Ridge Christian Knights (Merced, CA) and the visiting Downey Knights (Modesto, CA), observed Stone Ridge Christian's basketball team knock off Downey by a score of 55-37.

The Knights (6-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Mariposa County (Mariposa, CA). The Grizzlies come into the Southern League challenge with a 6-10 record. In their last challenge, Mariposa County prevailed over Waterford (Waterford, CA), 54-42, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights encounter the Gregori Jaguars (Modesto, CA) in a Central California Athletic League challenge, on Wednesday, January 15.
