In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Herron Achaeans basketball team scored a close 50-43 win over the International Gryphons.

The Achaeans (2-10) will now prepare for their contest against Indianapolis Washington (Indianapolis, IN). The Continentals come into the Capital City contest with a 5-6 record.

In their next game, the Gryphons battle the Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils (Indianapolis, IN) in a Pioneer - South contest, on Wednesday, January 15. International will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Blue Devils come into the contest with a 5-8 record after their 50-46 league win over Greenwood Christian Academy (Greenwood, IN).
