In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Lowpoint-Washburn Wildcats basketball team scored a good 61-46 triumph over the Leland Panthers.

The Wildcats (9-6) will now prepare for their contest against Midland (Varna, IL). The Timberwolves go into the Tri-County contest with a 4-11 record. In their last contest, Midland was topped by Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL), 58-27, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Earlville Red Raiders (Earlville, IL) in a Little Ten contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Leland will attempt to better on its 7-9 season record. The Red Raiders go into the contest with a 4-14 record after their 73-48 league loss to Hinckley-Big Rock (Hinckley, IL).
