The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Miramar Patriots (Miramar, FL) and the visiting Piper Bengals (Sunrise, FL), observed Miramar's basketball team edge Piper by a margin of 65-62.

The Patriots (12-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Westminster Christian (Miami, FL). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 12-4 record. In their last challenge, Westminster Christian edged Coral Gables (Coral Gables, FL), 74-51, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bengals battle the Stoneman Douglas Eagles (Parkland, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 13. Piper will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record.
