January 9, 2025: Williamson, WV 25661 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Tug Valley Panthers (Williamson, WV) and the visiting Williamstown Yellowjackets (Williamstown, WV), observed Tug Valley's basketball team knock off Williamstown by a score of 77-64.
The Panthers (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Charleston Catholic (Charleston, WV). The Irish come into the non-league challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Charleston Catholic was knocked off by Fairmont Senior (Fairmont, WV), 60-51, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Yellowjackets encounter the Logan Wildcats (Logan, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 10. Williamstown will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 63-47 league win over Scott (Madison, WV).
