Illinois High School Basketball - Aurora Central Catholic defeats Lutheran
January 9, 2025: Aurora, IL 60506 The Aurora Central Catholic Chargers (Aurora, IL) basketball were winner over the visiting Lutheran Crusaders (Rockford, IL), 70-59 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Chargers now possess a 15-2 record. They play next when they travel to Bloomington Central Catholic for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 11. Aurora Central Catholic will play a Saints team coming off a 49-18 league win over Monticello (Monticello, IL). The Saints record now stands at 12-5.
With the loss, Lutheran falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Dixon (Dixon, IL) to play the Dukes & Duchesses in a Big Northern bout on Saturday, January 11. The Dukes & Duchesses go into the bout with a record of 15-3. Dixon won 41-31 in their recent non-league bout against Rock Island (Rock Island, IL)
