Illinois High School Basketball - Centennial thwarts Urbana
January 9, 2025: Urbana, IL 61801 The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Centennial Chargers (Champaign, IL) and the host Urbana Tigers (Urbana, IL), observed Centennial's basketball team knock off Urbana by a score of 60-51.
The Chargers (3-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Bloomington (Bloomington, IL). The Purple Raiders come into the Big Twelve challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Bloomington prevailed over Normal West (Normal, IL), 50-39, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Richwoods Knights (Peoria, IL) in a Big Twelve challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Urbana will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 44-41 league win over Normal Community (Normal, IL).
