Ohio High School Basketball - Gallia Academy thwarts Southern
January 15, 2025: Racine, OH 45771 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Gallia Academy Blue Devils (Gallipolis, OH) and the host Southern Tornadoes (Racine, OH), observed Gallia Academy's basketball team knock off Southern by a score of 50-41.
The Blue Devils (5-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Dawson-Bryant (Coal Grove, OH). The Hornets come into the Ohio Valley challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, Dawson-Bryant was knocked off by Fairland (Proctorville, OH), 76-25, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tornadoes encounter the Waterford Wildcats (Waterford, OH) in a Tri-Valley - Hocking challenge, on Thursday, January 16. Southern will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 12-1 record after their 60-41 league win over Federal Hocking (Stewart, OH).
