North Dakota High School Basketball - Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood thwarts Velva
January 9, 2025: Velva, ND 58790 The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Mavericks (Renville, ND) and the host Velva Aggies (Velva, ND), observed Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood's basketball team knock off Velva by a score of 50-38.
The Mavericks (8-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Glenburn (Glenburn, ND). The Panther come into the B District 6 challenge with a 6-5 record. In their last challenge, Glenburn dropped by South Prairie/Max (Minot, ND), 86-32, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Aggies encounter the Westhope/Newburg Sioux (Westhope, ND) in a B District 6 challenge, on Monday, January 13. Velva will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Sioux come into the challenge with a 0-10 record after their 60-46 league loss to Our Redeemer's Christian (Minot, ND).
