The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Ripon Indians (Ripon, CA) and the visiting River Islands Riptide (Lathrop, CA), observed Ripon's basketball team overwhelm River Islands by a margin of 48-16.

The Indians (8-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Orestimba (Newman, CA). The Warriors come into the Trans Valley League challenge with a 9-6 record. In their last challenge, Orestimba trounced Sonora (Sonora, CA), 37-35, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Riptide battle the Turlock Christian Eagles (Turlock, CA) in a Central California Athletic Alliance challenge, on Tuesday, January 14.
