Louisiana High School Soccer - Lakeshore nudges St. Scholastica
January 9, 2025: Covington, LA 70434 Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Lakeshore (Mandeville, LA) and the host St. Scholastica Doves (Covington, LA), saw Lakeshore's soccer squad hold off St. Scholastica by a score of 2-1.
The (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA). The Jaguars enter the non-league battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Pope John Paul II was edged by St. Thomas Aquinas (Hammond, LA), 2-1, in a league battle.
Next up, the Doves confront the Archbishop Hannan Hawks (Covington, LA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, January 14. St. Scholastica will attempt to improve on its 9-2 season record. The Hawks enter the battle with a 8-3 record after their 5-2 non-league win over Episcopal (Baton Rouge, LA).
