Maine High School Basketball - Carrabec overwhelmed by Dirigo
January 9, 2026: Dixfield, ME 04224 The Dirigo Cougars crushed the visiting Carrabec Cobras basketball team by a tally of 70-38 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Spruce Mountain for a C South bout on Monday, January 12. Dirigo will play a Phoenix team coming off a 65-43 non-league win over Madison (Madison, ME). The Phoenix record now stands at 7-2.
The Cobras (5-4) will now prepare for their test against Wiscasset (Wiscasset, ME). The Wolverines come into the D South test with a 7-2 record. In their last bout, Wiscasset crushed Buckfield (Buckfield, ME), 76-52, in a league bout.
