Speedway Sparkplugs (Speedway, IN) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Herron Achaeans (Indianapolis, IN), 70-40 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Speedway advances its record to 4-5 on the year. The Sparkplugs host Decatur Central (Indianapolis, IN) to battle the Hawks in a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 13. The Hawks come into the contest with a record of 10-1. Decatur Central won 75-50 in their recent league contest against Martinsville (Martinsville, IN)

In their next game, the Achaeans battle the Danville Warriors (Danville, IN) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 12. Herron will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 2-8 record after their 63-47 non-league loss to Cascade (Clayton, IN).
