The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs (San Jose, CA) and the host Fairmont Prep Huskies (Anaheim, CA), observed Archbishop Mitty's basketball team overwhelm Fairmont Prep by a score of 80-45.

The Monarchs (12-1) will now prepare for their battle against Ontario Christian (Ontario, CA). The Knights enter the non-league battle with a 18-0 record. In their last battle, Ontario Christian walloped Clovis (Clovis, CA), 89-49, in a non-league battle.

The Huskies now have a 9-9 record. They play next when they travel to La Jolla Country Day for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 10. Fairmont Prep will battle a Torreys team coming off a 54-45 non-league loss to Summer Creek (Houston, TX). The Torreys record now stands at 10-7.
