The Westover Wolverines (Fayetteville, NC) football edged the host Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC), 33-27 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Wolverines face the Overhills Jaguars (Spring Lake, NC) in a 3A/4A East Conference 23 bout, on Friday, October 8. Westover will attempt to advance on its 4-0 season record. The Jaguars enter the bout with a 1-3 record after their 46-0 league win over Western Harnett (Lillington, NC).
