October 1, 2022: Alton, IL 62002 Alton Redbirds (Alton, IL) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Peoria Lions (Peoria, IL), 2-0 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Redbirds battle the Granite City Warriors (Granite City, IL) in a non-league match, on Monday, October 3. Alton will attempt to advance on its 11-11 season record. The Warriors come into the match with a 4-11 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Cahokia (Cahokia, IL).
With the loss, Peoria drops to 1-15 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Rochester (Rochester, IL) to meet the Rockets in a non-league game on Saturday, October 1.
