Illinois High School Volleyball - Marissa can't hold off New Athens
October 1, 2022: New Athens, IL 62264 In Saturday's non-league battle, the host New Athens Yellow Jackets volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Marissa Meteors.
The Yellow Jackets (4-17) will now prepare for their battle against Steeleville (Steeleville, IL). The Warriors come into the non-league battle with a 8-10 record. In their last battle, Steeleville nudged Lebanon (Lebanon, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Meteors clash with the Chester Yellowjackets (Chester, IL) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, October 18. Marissa will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record.
