Georgia High School Softball - Walnut Grove bounces Flowery Branch
October 1, 2024: Flowery Branch, GA 30542 The Walnut Grove Warriors softball team scored 8 runs and held the host Flowery Branch Falcons to 0 in the Warriors league win on Tuesday.
The Warriors now possess a 9-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Madison County for a 4A Region 8 battle on Thursday, October 3. Walnut Grove will confront a Red Raiders team coming off a 14-2 non-league win over Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA). The Red Raiders record now stands at 11-11.
With the loss, Flowery Branch moves to 4-17 on the season. The Falcons travel to North Oconee (Bogart, GA) to confront the Titans in a 4A Region 8 battle on Thursday, October 3. The Titans come into the battle with a record of 12-10. North Oconee lost 13-1 in their recent league battle against Eastside (Covington, GA)
