The Union Academy Cardinals triumphed over the visiting North Stanly Comets soccer squad by a margin of 9-0 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Cardinals now hold a 14-2 record. They play next when they travel to Albemarle for a Yadkin Valley 2A/3A bout on Monday, October 6. Union Academy will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 6-1 league win over South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-7.
