Virginia High School Volleyball - Amelia County can't hold off Mecklenburg County
October 2, 2023: Baskerville, VA 23915 In Monday's non-league battle, the host Mecklenburg County Phoenix volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Amelia County Raiders.
The Phoenix (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Halifax County (South Boston, VA). The Comets come into the battle with a 8-7 record. In their last battle, Halifax County nudged Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Raiders encounter the Nottoway Cougars (Nottoway, VA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, October 3. Amelia County will attempt to move on its 6-1 season record. The Cougars come into the battle with a 5-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA).
