The Central Eagles volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Monroe Redhawks to 1 in the Eagles non-league victory on Monday.

The Eagles now have a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cheraw for a AA Region 5 game on Tuesday, October 3. Central will meet a Braves team coming off a 3-0 league loss to North Central (Kershaw, SC). The Braves record now stands at 0-11.

The Redhawks (1-14) will now prepare for their game against Anson (Wadesboro, NC). The Bearcats enter the Rocky River 2A/3A game with a 12-5 record. In their last game, Anson gained a win over Parkwood (Monroe, NC), 3-2, in a league game.
