In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Amite Warriors football squad scored a good 21-6 triumph over the Kentwood Kangaroos.

The Warriors (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Bogalusa (Bogalusa, LA). The Lumberjacks go into the 3A District 8 battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Bogalusa was dropped by Liberty Magnet (Baton Rouge, LA), 64-0, in a non-league battle.

The Kangaroos now have a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Frederick A. Douglass for a non-league battle on Friday, October 10. Kentwood will play a Bobcats team coming off a 49-36 non-league loss to Metairie Park Country Day (Metairie, LA). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-1.
