New Mexico High School Football - Goddard thwarted by Carlsbad
October 2, 2025: Roswell, NM 88201 Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls (Carlsbad, NM) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Goddard Rockets (Roswell, NM), 30-18 in a non-league match.
The Cavemen/Cavegirls (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Clovis (Clovis, NM). The Wildcats come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Clovis defeated Hereford (Hereford, TX), 40-0, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Rockets meet the Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, October 23. Goddard will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Wildcats go into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 52-20 non-league win over Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM).
