October 2, 2025: LaGrange, IL 60525 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL) and the visiting Hubbard Greyhounds (Chicago, IL), saw Lyons's soccer squad triumph over Hubbard by a count of 9-0.
The Lions (11-3) will now prepare for their battle against Brother Rice (Chicago, IL). The Crusaders enter the non-league battle with a 4-9 record. In their last match, Brother Rice St. Laurence (Burbank, IL), 2-2, in a league match.
The Greyhounds now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Oak Lawn for a non-league match on Monday, October 6. Hubbard will meet a Spartans team coming off a 0-0 league Oak Forest (Oak Forest, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 9-3.
