October 2, 2025: New Orleans, LA 70113 Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Booker T. Washington Lions (New Orleans, LA) and the visiting Academy of Our Lady Penguins (Marrero, LA), saw Booker T. Washington's volleyball squad notch a victory over Academy of Our Lady by a score of 3-0.
With the win, Booker T. Washington improves its record to 7-4 on the season. The Lions travel to John Curtis Christian (River Ridge, LA) to encounter the Patriots in a non-league battle on Monday, October 6. The Patriots go into the battle with a record of 14-4. The Penguins now own a 17-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Edna Karr for a Division II District 8 contest on Tuesday, October 7. Academy of Our Lady will meet a Cougars team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over St. Katharine Drexel (New Orleans, LA). The Cougars record now stands at 11-8.
