The Union Preparatory Polar Bears volleyball squad (Indian Trail, NC), was defeated 3-0 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Grace Academy Lions (Matthews, NC)

With the win, Grace Academy improves its record to 8-2 on the season. The Lions travel to Providence Classical (Rock Hill, SC) to meet the Paladins in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 7. The Paladins enter the challenge with a record of 4-6.

Next, the Polar Bears meet the The Fletcher School Falcons (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 7. Union Preparatory will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Falcons go into the test with a 0-5 record after their 3-2 league loss to HOPE Academy (Concord, NC).
