The Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs nipped the visiting Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers softball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Bulldogs (18-4) will now prepare for their battle against Jenkins County (Millen, GA). The War Eagles go into the 1A D-II Region 3 battle with a 6-10 record. In their last battle, Jenkins County was edged by Montgomery County (Mt. Vernon, GA), 12-0, in a league battle.
The Chargers now possess a 17-6 record. They play next when they host Landmark Christian for a 2A Region 5 battle on Tuesday, October 4. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy will meet a War Eagles squad coming off a 15-1 non-league loss to Stockbridge (Stockbridge, GA). The War Eagles record now stands at 5-11.
