October 3, 2023: Scottsdale, AZ 85253 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs (Peoria, AZ) and the host Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ), saw Sunrise Mountain's volleyball squad nip Chaparral by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, Sunrise Mountain upgrades its record to 8-3 on the year. The Mustangs host Ironwood (Glendale, AZ) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Wednesday, October 4. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Ironwood lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Sunrise Mountain (Peoria, AZ)
The Firebirds now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Notre Dame Prep for a bout on Monday, October 23.
