October 3, 2023: Gallup, NM 87301 The Shiprock Chieftains (Shiprock, NM) volleyball overcame the host Hozho Academy Wolves (Gallup, NM), 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league outing.
With the win, Shiprock upgrades its record to 4-3 on the year. The Chieftains host Monument Valley (Monument Valley, UT) to face the Cougars in a non-league outing on Thursday, October 5. The Cougars go into the outing with a record of 8-2. Monument Valley lost 3-2 in their recent non-league outing against Rock Point (Rock Point, AZ)
The Wolves now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they host Newcomb for a non-league outing on Thursday, October 5. Hozho Academy will face a Skyhawks squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Thoreau (Thoreau, NM). The Skyhawks record now stands at 4-6.
