Maryland High School Soccer - Avalon toppled by St. Anselm's Abbey
October 3, 2024: Wheaton, MD 20902 St. Anselm's Abbey Panthers (Washington, DC) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Avalon Black Knights (Wheaton, MD), 7-2 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, St. Anselm's Abbey moves its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to McLean (Potomac, MD) to clash with the in a Potomac Valley test on Tuesday, October 8. The come into the test with a record of 1-1. McLean won 5-2 in their recent league test against Field (Washington, DC)
The Black Knights now sport a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Field for a non-league test on Saturday, October 5. Avalon will clash with a Falcons team coming off a 4-3 league loss to Don Bosco Cristo Rey (Takoma Park, MD). The Falcons record now stands at 3-4.
