October 3, 2025: Davenport, IA 52804 Burlington Grayhounds (Burlington, IA) boosters were content Friday as they observed their football squad smash the host Davenport West Falcons (Davenport, IA), 49-14 in a league match.
The Grayhounds (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Davenport North (Davenport, IA). The Wildcats come into the 4A District 3 match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, Davenport North routed Clinton (Clinton, IA), 42-0, in a league battle.
The Falcons now have a 0-7 record. They play next when they host Western Dubuque for a 4A District 3 battle on Friday, October 10. Davenport West will play a Bobcats team coming off a 14-13 league win over North Scott (Eldridge, IA). The Bobcats record now stands at 4-2.
