The Leake Academy Rebels football team scored 51 points and held the host Canton Academy Panthers to 7 in the Rebels non-league victory on Friday.

In their next game, the Rebels face the Oak Hill Academy Raiders (West Point, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 10. Leake Academy will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Raiders enter the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 28-7 league win over Winston Academy (Louisville, MS).

The Panthers (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against North Delta (Batesville, MS). The Green Wave enter the non-league challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, North Delta was ripped by Marshall Academy (Holly Springs, MS), 40-6, in a non-league test.
