Georgia High School Football - South Effingham holds off Greenbrier

October 3, 2025: Guyton, GA 31312

The South Effingham Mustangs football squad scored 34 points and held the visiting Greenbrier Wolfpack to 28 in the Mustangs league victory on Friday.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the Glynn Academy Terrors (Brunswick, GA) in a AAAAA Region 1 game, on Friday, October 10. South Effingham will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Terrors enter the game with a 4-3 record after their 40-17 league win over Evans (Evans, GA).

The Wolfpack (1-5) will now prepare for their game against Lakeside (Evans, GA). The Panthers enter the AAAAA Region 1 game with a 0-7 record. In their last game, Lakeside was edged by Statesboro (Statesboro, GA), 36-29, in a league game.
