The Groton Red Hawks got by the visiting Sidney Team football team by a score of 20-18 in Friday's non-league test.

The Red Hawks now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Tioga for a Section 4 D-2 test on Friday, October 10. Groton will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 35-18 non-league win over Bainbridge-Guilford (Bainbridge, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 4-1.

With the defeat, Sidney moves to 3-1 on the season. The Team travel to Walton (Walton, NY) to face the Warriors in a Section 4 D-1 challenge on Saturday, October 11. The Warriors go into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Walton won 44-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Greene (Greene, NY)
