October 3, 2025: Alexandria, SD 57311 The Howard Tigers football team scored 12 points and held the host Hanson Beavers to 7 in the Tigers league victory on Friday.
In their next game, the Tigers face the Garretson Blue Dragons (Garretson, SD) in a Cornbelt (9 Man) challenge, on Friday, October 10. Howard will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Blue Dragons enter the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 69-21 non-league loss to Elkton/Lake Benton (Elkton, SD).
With the defeat, Hanson drops to 3-3 on the campaign. The Beavers travel to Viborg/Hurley (Viborg, SD) to clash with the Cougars in a Cornbelt (9 Man) test on Friday, October 10. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 4-2. Viborg/Hurley won 58-6 in their recent league game against Chester (Chester, SD)
