In Friday's league match, the host Mendota Trojans football squad scored a decisive 45-13 triumph over the Kewanee Boilermakers.

The Trojans (2-4) will now prepare for their match against Princeton (Princeton, IL). The Tigers come into the Three Rivers - Mississippi match with a 3-3 record. In their last match, Princeton routed Hall (Spring Valley, IL), 27-12, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Boilermakers play the Sherrard Tigers (Sherrard, IL) in a Three Rivers - Mississippi challenge, on Friday, October 10. Kewanee will attempt to improve on its 0-6 season record.
