Mississippi High School Football - PURE Academy falls to Lafayette

The Lafayette Commodores felled the visiting PURE Academy Royals football team by a score of 30-14 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Commodores play the New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) in a 5A Region 1 challenge, on Friday, October 10. Lafayette will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Trojans go into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 62-28 non-league win over Saltillo (Saltillo, MS).

The Royals (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Holly Springs (Holly Springs, MS). The Hawks go into the non-league challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Holly Springs was dropped by Independence (Independence, MS), 47-6, in a league challenge.
