The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Ringling Blue Devils (Ringling, OK) and the host Velma-Alma Comets (Velma, OK), saw Ringling's football team nip Velma-Alma by a final score of 20-18.

With the win, Ringling advances its record to 3-2 on the season. The Blue Devils host Wilson (Wilson, OK) to encounter the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, October 10. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Wilson won 50-6 in their recent league contest against Wayne (Wayne, OK)

Coming up next, the Comets confront the Wayne Bulldogs (Wayne, OK) in a A-II District 2 contest, on Thursday, October 9. Velma-Alma will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 1-4 record after their 50-6 league loss to Wilson (Wilson, OK).
