The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Tri County Northeast Wolfpack (Emerson, NE) and the visiting Wakefield Trojans (Wakefield, NE), witnessed Tri County Northeast's football squad edge Wakefield by a count of 26-20.

The Wolfpack (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Homer (Homer, NE). The Knights go into the D1 District 2 (8 Man) battle with a 0-6 record. In their last battle, Homer was tipped by Wisner-Pilger (Wisner, NE), 56-12, in a league battle.

The Trojans now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they host Pender for a D1 District 2 (8 Man) match on Friday, October 10. Wakefield will confront a Pendragons squad coming off a 52-28 league win over Guardian Angels Central Catholic (West Point, NE). The Pendragons record now stands at 5-1.
