Illinois High School Football - Shepard sneaks past Oak Forest
October 3, 2025: Palos Heights, IL 60463 In Friday's non-league match, the host Shepard Astros football team scored a tight 22-21 win over the Oak Forest Bengals.
In their next game, the Astros play the Argo Argonauts (Summit, IL) in a challenge, on Friday, October 10. Shepard will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Argonauts go into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 46-0 non-league loss to Richards (Oak Lawn, IL).
The Bengals (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Bremen (Midlothian, IL). The Braves come into the test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Bremen was nipped by Hillcrest (Country Club Hills, IL), 48-7, in a league test.
