Missouri High School Soccer - Marquette nudges Webster Groves
October 3, 2025: Chesterfield, MO 63017 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Marquette Mustangs (Chesterfield, MO) and the visiting Webster Groves Statesmen (Webster Groves, MO), saw Marquette's soccer squad hold off Webster Groves by a count of 4-3.
The Mustangs (11-1) will now prepare for their battle against Lafayette (Wildwood, MO). The Lancers enter the non-league match with a 4-6 record. In their last match, Lafayette nipped Fort Zumwalt West (O'Fallon, MO), 1-0, in a non-league match.
The Statesmen now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ladue Horton Watkins for a non-league match on Saturday, October 4. Webster Groves will battle a Rams squad coming off a 0-0 non-league Howell Central (St. Charles, MO). The Rams record now stands at 2-4.
