Lamoille Lancers (Hyde Park, VT) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they observed their soccer squad nudge the visiting Lake Region Rangers (Orleans, VT), 2-1 in a league outing.

The Lancers (4-4) will now prepare for their outing against Thetford Academy (Thetford, VT). The Panthers go into the Capital outing with a 7-3 record. In their last outing, Thetford Academy got by Rivendell Academy (Orford, NH), 7-0, in a non-league outing.

In their next game, the Rangers clash with the Peoples Academy Wolves (Morrisville, VT) in a Capital test, on Monday, October 6. Lake Region will attempt to advance on its 1-7 season record.
