Academy of Holy Angels Stars (Richfield, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the host Minneapolis Southwest Lakers (Minneapolis, MN), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Academy of Holy Angels improves its record to 21-4 on the season. The Stars travel to Forest Lake (Forest Lake, MN) to face the Rangers in a non-league test on Saturday, October 4. The Rangers go into the test with a record of 9-5. Forest Lake won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Minnetonka (Minnetonka, MN)

Next, the Lakers meet the Woodbury Royals (Woodbury, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 4. Minneapolis Southwest will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Royals come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 2-0 non-league win over St. Agnes (St. Paul, MN).
