In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Mountain Brook Spartans volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Hewitt-Trussville Huskies.

The Spartans (18-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Austin (Decatur, AL). The Black Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 33-5 record. In their last test, Austin gained a win over Bob Jones (Madison, AL), 3-1, in a league test.

The Huskies now sport a 16-10 record. They play next when they travel to Austin for a non-league outing on Saturday, October 4. Hewitt-Trussville will play a Black Bears team coming off a 3-1 league win over Bob Jones (Madison, AL). The Black Bears record now stands at 33-5.
