The Grand Island Vikings football squad scored 45 points and limited the host Amherst Central Tigers to 14 in the Vikings league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Williamsville South for a Section 6 B - 1 test on Thursday, October 10. Grand Island will meet a Billies squad coming off a 48-20 league win over West Seneca East (West Seneca, NY). The Billies record now stands at 3-2.

With the defeat, Amherst Central drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Kenmore East (Tonawanda, NY) to meet the Bulldogs in a Section 6 B - 1 test on Thursday, October 10. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 2-3. Kenmore East won 55-12 in their recent non-league test against Lewiston-Porter (Youngstown, NY)
