In Friday's league game, the Steel Valley Ironmen (Munhall, PA) football team triumphed over the visiting Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA), by a tally of 55-10.

In their next game, the Ironmen battle the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers (Coraopolis, PA) in a WPIAL AA Allegheny game, on Friday, October 11. Steel Valley will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Chargers enter the game with a 3-3 record after their 41-13 league loss to South Park (South Park, PA).

The Vikings (0-7) will now prepare for their game against South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA). The Gladiators enter the WPIAL AA Allegheny game with a 6-1 record. In their last game, South Allegheny overwhelmed Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA), 56-22, in a league game.
