The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Rincon/University Rangers (Tucson, AZ) and the host Cholla Chargers (Tucson, AZ), witnessed Rincon/University's football squad edge Cholla by a tally of 8-6.

The Rangers (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Vista Grande was nudged by Arizona College Prep (Chandler, AZ), 42-12, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Chargers confront the Douglas Bulldogs (Douglas, AZ) in a 4A Gila contest, on Friday, October 11. Cholla will attempt to better on its 1-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 2-4 record after their 35-14 league win over Amphitheater (Tucson, AZ).
