Arkansas High School Football - DeSoto wallops Delta Academy

October 4, 2024: West Helena, AR 72390

The DeSoto Thunderbirds football squad scored 62 points and limited the visiting Delta Academy Raiders to 8 in the Thunderbirds league triumph on Friday.

The Thunderbirds now hold a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they host Sylva Bay Academy for a MAIS 8-Man 2A District 1 (8 Man) test on Friday, October 11. DeSoto will meet a Saints squad coming off a 30-12 non-league win over Russell Christian Academy (Meridian, MS). The Saints record now stands at 6-1.

With the defeat, Delta Academy drops to 4-3 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Hebron Christian (Pheba, MS) to meet the Eagles in a non-league test on Friday, October 11. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 1-6. Hebron Christian lost 41-14 in their recent league test against Calhoun Academy (Calhoun City, MS)
