October 4, 2024: Lena, IL 61048 Lena-Winslow Panthers (Lena, IL) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Durand/Pecatonica Rivermen (Durand, IL), 46-22 in a league battle.
With the win, Lena-Winslow improves its record to 6-0 on the season. The Panthers travel to Pearl City-Eastland (Pearl City, IL) to play the Wildcats in a Northwest Upstate Illini battle on Friday, October 11. The Wildcats go into the battle with a record of 5-1. Pearl City-Eastland won 54-8 in their recent non-league battle against Westmont (Westmont, IL)
The Rivermen now have a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Fulton for a Northwest Upstate Illini battle on Friday, October 11. Durand/Pecatonica will play a Steamers team coming off a 28-7 league loss to Galena (Galena, IL). The Steamers record now stands at 2-4.
