The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Hanover Central Wildcats (Cedar Lake, IN) and the host Hobart Brickies (Hobart, IN), witnessed Hanover Central's football squad edge Hobart by a tally of 21-14.

The Wildcats (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Andrean (Merrillville, IN). The Fighting 59ers enter the Northwest Crossroads contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Andrean was nudged by Indianapolis Bishop Chatard (Indianapolis, IN), 39-14, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Brickies battle the Hammond Morton Governors (Hammond, IN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 11. Hobart will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Governors enter the contest with a 2-4 record after their 42-14 league win over Hammond Central (Hammond, IN).
